Young at Heart herbal blend was created to address elder animal concerns. This herbal blend is an anti-inflammatory and mild analgesic, to address the aches and pains of old age. It’s a kidney and liver tonic, to keep those toxins flushed. It contains some extra calories and good fats, to keep weight on. It has some yummies that encourage eating. Small animals can have high cholesterol, just like we can, so this mix fights the bad fats. It’s cancer-fighting, helps to prevent urinary tract issues, and is a general immune boost.

This herbal blend is made of whole foods. Nothing is taken out of the original plant. A whole food gives vitamins, minerals, enzymes, amino acids, fatty acids, and other micronutrients in a way the body needs them and understands them.

Key Benefits:

  • Powerful daily whole food treat
  • Brings variety back to the diet
  • Awesome nutrition and immune boost

Perfect for rabbits and guinea pigs, ages 6+ Months (or when moved to adult pellets). This small animal herbal blend provides the diet variety they need.

Note: chinchillas have different nutritional needs and have far more restrictions. We don't recommend this blend for chinchillas.

Elder Flower, Meadowsweet, Plantain, Nettle Leaf, Oats, Oat Groats, Oat Tops, Rose Petals, Goldenrod, Milk Thistle Powder, Celery Seed

Feeding Instructions:

Any new food, snack, or supplement should be introduced patiently. Give your animal a tablespoon per day. The first few days they may not touch it at all. Avoid putting their new snacks or supplements on top of greens, pellets, or mixing into hay at first. (We don’t want them to stop eating the things they already trust because this new stuff is all over it.) Make a fuss about the new stuff, tell them how good it is. Do a little snack dance. They’ll get the idea, and work up their confidence, and one day they’ll try it. After that, there will be no looking back. They will run up to you when they hear the bag and look forward to their herbs and flowers with great anticipation.

Storage and Expiration Info:

These are dried plant materials, and they may get buggy if not stored correctly. Store in an airtight food-safe container, in a cool dark place. You can refrigerate them, but do not freeze.
